The
Ideal Tool for Character Education
If
you are a teacher or a youth group leader and you're looking
for a fun and interesting way to conduct a character education
activity, you owe it to yourself to try Deal
With It.
Deal
With It uses discussion dilemmas that can be used as a
classroom character education activity, as well as in one-on-one counseling. After a
dilemma is presented, students choose one of six answers closest
to their way of handling the situation. Students are given an
opportunity to state their solution and explain their decision making approach. Teachers use the included Discussion Points to
explain pitfalls, point out alternatives, and question the rational
given as they guide students. One game version allows students
to challenge each other, while the teacher/youth leader acts
as moderator and judge.
Deal
With It includes 72
real-life scenarios in many topic decision making areas including: Peer pressure,
school issues, personal integrity, drugs and alcohol, relationships,
family, gossip, money and possessions, charity, depression,
self esteem, pranks, and personal safety. The sensitive subjects
of premarital sex, STDs, pregnancy, parental divorce, and suicide
are included in a discreetly wrapped set for your optional use.
