Unexpected Problems.

A man walks through the door with a dozen fully bloomed roses that look terrible. He shows you his receipt and tells you he has never seen roses look so poorly after just two days. What so you do or say?

Standard Operating Procedures.

An elderly woman has come into our restaurant alone. She has placed an order from the children's menu. The menu says the children's menu is for those less than ten years of age. Do you fill this order as usual?

Correcting Mistakes.

A man is on the phone. He tells you he ordered a mixed flower bouquet for his mother, and it seems it contained a lilac. He wants a refund for the flowers because he claims he told the person who took his order, that his mother is allergic to lilacs. You do not see this on the original order form. What do you do?

Customers in Crisis.

A customer is on the phone. She says her mother’s funeral service will begin within fifteen minutes, and the flowers she ordered have not been delivered yet. You would have expected them to be there already. What do you say or do?

Unique Requests.

A pre-teenage boy walks in and asks if he can purchase some “baby’s breath.” You do not show this on a price list. What do you do?
